JB Tools Employee Spotlight: Holly Laginess

There are no unsung heroes here, but there are heroes who bring their A-game every day, week, month, and year. Thanks to their hard work and dedication, JB Tools continues to thrive. The owners show their appreciation for employee dedication in many ways. This monthly blog feature is but one of them.

So, without any further ado, let’s meet the subject of this month’s Employee Spotlight:

Holly’s teammates in the marketing department describe her as cheerful, and supportive. She’s the first to compliment someone on a job well done. She also gives enthusiastic support to the team's ideas to improve JB Tools’ outreach. She’s also the first one who most employees turn to when they want to run an idea by someone or just to chat. That’s because everyone feels the warmth of Holly’s personality and knows that it’s genuine.

We could go on and on about all the things we love about Holly, but it’s far better to hear her story in her own words.

Q: What is the most interesting and unique fact about yourself?

A: “I’ve been to 49 of the 50 United States. Hawaii is the last state that I need to visit.”

Q: Where is the most exotic or interesting place you’ve visited?

A: “That would have to be Alaska. My parents packed my siblings and me into a van and drove us around the state for two weeks. Some of our adventures included kayaking around glaciers in Valdez and fishing for Salmon while watching the grizzly bears and eagles hunt. We also got to fly to Bettles, which is a small village in the Arctic Circle. We got to meet sled dogs and joined the volunteer fire department.”

Q: Where did you work before joining the JB Tools team?

A: “I had the opportunity to work for a Michigan-based golf company that focuses on enhancing the game of golf through innovative technology. Being a part of that incredible team, in an industry that I am deeply passionate about, was an amazing experience.”

Q: Do you use the skills and experience from your previous jobs here at JB Tools? If so, how?

A: “Yes. Every skill I’ve acquired has laid a solid foundation for me to excel here at JB Tools. By utilizing my already existing marketing and graphic design skills, I have been able to embrace a more challenging role, which has been very rewarding.”

Q: How did you come to work for JB Tools?

A: “I heard that they had an opening for a marketing and graphic design professional, so I applied and got the job.”

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: “It’s getting to work with an amazing team. We are constantly collaborating, learning, laughing, and growing professionally.”

Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?

A: “When I’m not at work, you can often find me on the golf course. I started the sport when I was 14 and played in college. Golf has always been a passion of mine, so any chance I get, I try to get out on the course.”
