Q: Is JB Tools Legit?

A: Of course we’re legit, but we don’t get offended when we see this question on various tool discussion forums. It’s good to be cautious whenever an online company is offering prices that seem too good to be true. That said, you can rest assured that JB Tools is 100% legit. We are a real company operated by real people who provide you with the best tools at the best prices with fast shipping.

Q: Who owns JB Tools?

A: Jason Petta and Bob Geisinger are the “J” and “B” of JB Tools. The two have been friends since high school and grew up working in Bob’s father’s tool distribution company.

Q: What’s the story behind JB Tools?

A: Jason Petta and Bob Geisinger grew up working for Bob’s father’s tool distribution company. After starting in the warehouse, the two young men progressed to purchasing automotive aftermarket tools and supplies. They quickly discovered that they enjoyed doing this type of work. When Bob’s father sold his company to outside investors, Jason and Bob were inspired to open JB Tools in 2008.

Q: Where is JB Tools located?

A: JB Tools is located in Livonia, Michigan, which is part of the Metro Detroit area. Here, we have three warehouse locations that stock and ship many of the tools and supplies we carry.

Q: Does JB Tools only sell automotive tools?

A: While automotive tools represent a large share of our business, those aren’t the only tools we stock. We carry a wide variety of  hand tools, air tools, and power tools. And that barely scratches the surface of all the tools we have to offer.

Q: Does JB Tools host sales?

A: We sure do. Just check out the  Tool Specials page on our website. Any tools not featured on that page are still sold at an everyday low price. We also offer fast shipping on everything in our inventory because we believe you shouldn’t have to wait long for the tools and supplies you need.

Q: Is there a way to save more on the tools you carry?

A: Yes, there is. If you want additional savings, join the  JB Tools rewards program. Sign up to earn points with every purchase you make with us. You can redeem these points for exclusive discounts.

Q: Do you carry any brands of tools that other distributors don’t have?

A: Absolutely! JB Tools is the exclusive North American distributor of M7 pneumatic tools. These tools are handy, durable, and loaded with useful features to help you get the job done. Whether it’s an air impact wrench, air needle scaler, or another pneumatic tool, you’ll find it in our well-stocked online inventory. Q: Does JB Tools sell Solder-It soldering irons and accessories?

A: Yes, we sell Solder-It products and we also own them. JB Tool acquired the Solder-It brand in the summer of 2022. This allows us to have more hands-on control over the brand’s many popular butane soldering irons, butane torches, and soldering accessories. You can learn more about these soldering tools on the  Solder-It website or read the individual product descriptions on the JB Tools site. We’ve put a lot of time and effort into those descriptions so you can make an informed decision about the soldering tools you choose.

Q: Does JB Tools offer a warranty?

A: While we do not offer warranties, most of our items come with a manufacturer’s warranty. These warranties last several months or up until a lifetime, depending on the brand. Beyond that, we offer a generous 60-day return policy and have a warranty matching program.

JB Tools has teamed up with Extend to offer an added protection plan. For a small fee at checkout, you can add this to most purchases. This covers you in case your product experiences mechanical or electrical failure from regular use over time. It's just one more way we're committed to ensuring that you have the best shopping experience possible.

Q: If I purchase an item from JB Tools that has a manufacturer’s warranty, will I still be eligible to receive the manufacturer's warranty?

A: We always want our customers to feel confident in their purchases from JB Tools. It's important to note that some brands might not honor their warranty for products bought from some unauthorized sellers. If this happens, we have a warranty policy, so we will take that item back for you.
