Meet Mike W. from Montana

Mike W. is a mountain biking enthusiast and the proud owner of Aurum Suspension, a business dedicated to servicing mountain bike suspension forks and shocks. Based in Montana, Mike was super excited to win the Viair 85P Digital Portable Compressor, which he describes as the perfect addition to his mountain biking adventures. After using the compressor for about a week, he’s already impressed with its simplicity and functionality.

Mike first heard about the contest when he and his employee were checking out Viair compressors for his business. "My employee and I were looking at the Viair compressors a couple days prior to the contest. I then received the email about the contest and entered," Mike shared. Little did he know that he would soon be the lucky winner of a brand-new compressor.

As someone deeply involved in the mountain biking community, Mike has been eyeing a Viair compressor for some time. "I've thought about purchasing one for a while but kept delaying the purchase since there are lots of startup costs for a small business," he explained. "The compressor is pretty impressive and only takes a couple of seconds to fill a mountain bike tire," Mike noted. "It was also powerful enough to seat a mountain bike tubeless tire, which usually takes a large blast of air at higher pressure." For someone who spends a lot of time on the trails, having a portable and efficient compressor like the Viair 85P is a game-changer.

Mike’s enthusiasm for the Viair 85P Digital goes beyond his personal mountain biking adventures. He also plans to use the compressor at work. "I own a mountain bike suspension service company and sponsor some races. I provide neutral support for the races, and having a portable air compressor is really nice," Mike said. Mike's company, Aurum Suspension, has been in business for three years and continues to grow. After a career shift from environmental engineering, Mike found his passion in helping mountain bikers get the most out of their suspension setups. "It is really fun to custom valve the suspension for their riding style, body type, and bike kinematics," Mike shared, highlighting the rewarding aspects of his job.

Despite this being his first Viair product, Mike is already a fan. "This is my first Viair brand product, and I have been pretty impressed so far," he said. The compressor's performance has exceeded his expectations, and it's clear that Viair has gained a new loyal customer.

When asked if he plans to use the Viair compressor at home or work, Mike answered, "Both." He sees the compressor as a versatile tool that’s not only great for mountain biking but also practical for vehicle maintenance. "It makes a great alternative to a traditional bike pump since it's more compact and easily fits in the vehicle. It's also nice that you can use the compressor for your vehicle tires when needed," he explained.
