Pet Project: Kaya the Pit Bull Mix

Another JB Tools employee is here to tell you about her beloved fur baby!

Our employees are people, too, and they love their dogs, cats, and other animals! These pets are as much a part of their families as their significant others and children. We’ve created this semi-regular feature to give these “company critters” a chance to shine. It seems only right considering all the joy they bring to their owners.

This month, we get to hear about the darling dog owned by someone who works in our front office.

My pet’s name: Kaya 

Breed/Species: Pitbull mix

How Kaya became a part of my life:

“I adopted Kaya from the Humane Society while I was going to college. She was there with her two brothers and a sister. While her siblings were very social and active, Kaya was scared and hiding in the corner. I wanted to take her home and make her feel safe. She also was the only one of her litter with distinct brindle markings, so I knew she was special.”

This is what I love most about Kaya:

“How she loves to lounge and cuddle. Kaya loves to sleep in my bed and lay her head on my pillow. She has done this since the day I brought her home. At first, I had no idea how I was going to sleep next to her snoring so loudly, but now I hardly notice it. It’s just one of her quirks that I love.”

Kaya's special tricks and talents are:

“She’s a very talented swimmer and is great at playing catch.”

Kaya's favorite things to do are:

“Go swimming, hiking, camping, and cuddling.”

Kaya has such a unique personality:

“She is so sweet and cuddly. She loves exercising and fun activities just as much as she loves to snuggle. She also enjoys the company of her friends and family.”
