HOW TO USE:
- Secure the workpiece: Clamp the material firmly onto the drill press table using the T-slotted base and clamps (not included) to ensure stability during drilling.
- Adjust the table height: Position the table to the desired drilling depth using the table raiser handle. Utilize the depth gauge for precise measurement.
- Select the appropriate drill bit: Choose a drill bit with the correct size and type for the material and desired hole diameter.
- Install the drill bit: Secure the drill bit tightly into the drill chuck following the chuck's manufacturer instructions.
- Set the spindle speed: Choose the appropriate speed setting based on the material and drill bit size from the 12 available speed options. Refer to a drill speed chart for recommended speeds.
- Engage the power and downfeed: Turn on the drill press and activate the power downfeed system if desired for controlled drilling. Lower the spindle slowly with the quill handle, applying gentle pressure.
- Drill the hole: Maintain steady pressure on the quill handle while the drill bit penetrates the material. Utilize the depth gauge to monitor drilling progress and stop when the desired depth is reached.
- Disengage the power and raise the spindle: Turn off the drill press and power downfeed (if engaged). Raise the spindle using the quill handle.
- Clear the hole (optional): If necessary, use a deburring tool to remove any sharp edges around the drilled hole.
