HOW TO USE:
- Power On: Insert a fresh 9-volt battery into the meter and turn it on.
- Species Selection: Choose the appropriate wood species setting using the meter's interface or the mobile app. Refer to the included Species Settings Booklet.
- Calibration (If Necessary): Use the On-Demand Calibrator. Place the meter on the calibrator and follow the instructions in the manual.
- Scanning Depth Selection: Choose between shallow scan (0.25") or deep scan (0.75") based on your measurement needs.
- Take Readings: Place the scanning area flat against the surface of the wood or material you want to measure.
- View Reading: The moisture content will be displayed on the meter's screen.
- Data Recording (Optional): Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smart device and the meter's DATA mode is ON. Open the FloorSmart™ or Woodshop MC app, select a job, and record readings as needed.
- Temperature and Humidity Readings: The meter will display ambient temperature and relative humidity.
- EMC, Dew Point, GPP/GPK: The meter can calculate and display these values based on the temperature and humidity readings. Consult the manual for specific instructions.
- Relative Measurement Mode: To measure non-solid materials, select the relative measurement mode and take readings as described in step 5.
